New of Most Unfortunance
So I got a virus on me computer, and it's use is very, well, yeahh.... Until I can get a new computer, (which this was suppose to help me get had I not gotten backed up with school and work) I won't be able to reliably work on the game. Fortunately, this happened before I pushed the demo, and thus before I set up the Patreon so there is no disappointment there. For now hang tight, and I will get back to the game once I have a new computer.

News Update
There will be a slight delay with the release of the demo, I did not get as much time to work on it these past two weeks as I hoped, and now that classes have started again, they will be taking priority. Never the less, I want to push the demo out as soon as possible. After the demo is released, I will be aiming to produce updates on a monthly basis. That is all for now, fare the well.

Ready, Set, Start!
Goodly Greetings!
If you are new here then please sit down, have a cup of tea, and enjoy your stay.
This blog is for my as yet unnamed adventure game that I just recently started making using RPG Maker VX Ace. The concept of the game is relatively simple, as this is my first big project I didn't want to risk overdoing it. The main character, Garic, is a professional adventurer who goes all over the world searching for undiscovered treasure. As such, the game will go everywhere from high mountains, to deep caves, to even under the ocean. Garic will be investigating ruins, plundering ancient tombs, and raiding forgotten temples.
Currently, there is no overarching plot as the game is meant to be more about the journey than the destination, as is only befitting a true adventurer. I will be, however, implementing plenty of subplots that may or may not be explored at your leisure. During the game you can expect curses, potential companions, and (hopefully) a few laughs. I intend for it to be a cross between puzzle and combat, as well as be open ended. There may not be any end plot, but I do not intend to leave you with no direction. As such, many (and I use this term lightly) dungeons will be easy to locate and explore. Others, however, will be hidden and possibly even require the completion of a quest to discover.
With all that being said, I don't wish to overwhelm the player with too much to do, and will be placing only a few "dungeons" in any one area. Once I am confident enough in my art skills, (or rather brave enough) I will be putting some of my art in the game as well.
I do not currently have enough finished to present a demo as I only just started making the game the other day, but I hope to have one posted within the next two weeks. When I do so, I will also be setting up a Patreon for anyone to donate to the game if they should wish to. On that note, however, I feel I should mention that I will by no means be requiring folks to donate to play the game. As it currently stands, I intend for it to be free for the time being. I will not say forever, as I do not like to speak in absolutes, but it shall stay that way for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, should I receive enough donations to be able to make this my full time job, I will be able to produce updates markedly faster then what I'll be able to do now.
Interestingly enough, I did not intend to write this much when I started this post, but I suppose that my first post being a bit lengthy is to be expected. If you stayed for this long, then know that I do appreciate it and I hope you come by again. Take care, and enjoy your days.
